Admission notice Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, in coordination with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, is pleased to announce the conduct of a dedicated Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) exclusively for candidates who have applied or intend to apply for admission to QAU but could not register for the USAT in the current/ongoing test slots. Women Entrepreneurship Expo 2026

Women Entrepreneurship Expo 2026 was held in the college auditorium. The students of BS Psychology, BS Islamic Studies and BS Chemistry participated in the activity. They were mentored by Dr. Muhammad Bilal who has taught the subject of Entrepreneurship to them. The expo was inaugurated by the Chief guest, Dr. Ayaz ul Haq (CEO and Founder of Creative Business and Social Research Corporate (CBSR)) along with the principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The principal offered words of encouragement and appreciation on the occasion. The honourable chief guest judged the efforts of the young entrepreneurs along with other judges: Dr. Noheed Khan  (Associate Prof. and Director ORIC at Alhamd Islamic University), Dr. Imran Riaz Malik (Data scientist & Associate Prof. of Finance at CUST and Director CSO) and Dr. Riaz Ahmed Rai (Assistant Prof. at National University of Pakistan). The students had put forward some creative entrepreneurial displays that showcased their products and business models like Thrift and Thrive, Nutriflour ( gluten free),Craft Land, Hooked with Love, Skill scan Pakistan (Platform driven career roadmap creation and CV optimization) and All Tray portable solution to name a few. The judges were very impressed by their confidence and enthusiasm. Financial Literacy Seminar Organised by National Bank

National Bank of Pakistan ( Islamabad Region) organized a Financial Literacy seminar for the students of BS programs at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Ibd. on 11th May, 2026. The event was attended by Mr. Saqib (Executive Vice President NBP and Regional Head Ibd.) to boost the interest of the attendees. In his remarks, he informed the audience that the banking sector in Pakistan is constantly evolving and endeavouring to provide Shariah compliant financial solutions to the masses. The presenter of the event, Mr. Arsalan Zaka Butt (Manager, NBP) discussed the aspects of budgeting and investing for a secure future through story telling and comprehensive propagation of technical information. The students asked questions regarding different investment plans and banking products. The seminar proved to be a success with the co-operation of the Departments of Economics and Islamic Studies as many of their students participated in the discussion and learned new facts about financial literacy.

1st Commemoration of Bunyaan-ul-Marsoos

A meaningful morning assembly was held at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad on 11th May, 2026 to commemorate the first anniversary of the success in Operation Bunyaan-ul-Marsoos against the unprovoked aggression of our neighbouring country. The assembly was organized by the Student Council to pay tribute to the bravery and dedication of the armed forces and all those who contributed to the success of the operation. The Principal of the college, faculty and the students gathered in the college lawn to participate in the ceremony. The assembly began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a rousing speech by Ms. Qurat ul Ain Rehan (Dept. of Islamic Studies). She discussed the significance of Jihad against the Non-believers as per the Holy Quran. She stressed upon the fact that the Muslims should remain united "like a solid,cemented structure" (61:4) against the enemy as suggested by the name of the Operation Bunyaan-ul-Marsoos. The students presented speeches and patriotic songs to express gratitude to the armed forces for their sacrifice and courage and paid tribute to the resilience of the citizens of Pakistan. The assembly concluded with a renewed pledge of national solidarity and respect for the defenders of the country.

IMCG F-7/2 Shines at Sector Level STEAM Exhibition 2026

Congratulations to our brilliant students Minahil Fiza (HSSC II - H) Asma Tariq(HSSC I - J) , Aleena Shahid (HSSC I - G) for securing 4th Position under the supervision of Tech Trainer Ms Sahher Abbas, at the Sector Level STEAM EXHIBITION (URBAN-1)! Their project, StudySync, stood out among 30 innovative ideas and qualified for Final Exhibition- a proud moment for IMCG (PG) F-7/2. This incredible achievement was made possible by LearnOBots in collaboration with Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) & Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT), providing such a fantastic platform for young innovators.

45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony 2026

Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate) F-7/2, Ibd. hosted a grand 45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony on 29th April, 2026 to honour the academic achievements of graduates of BS Psychology, Chemistry, Economics, and Islamic Studies. The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of students from multiple academic sessions, including 2018–2022, 2019–2023, 2020–2024, and 2021–2025. The ceremony was graced by the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, who attended as the Chief Guest. Her presence served as an inspiration for the young minds in the audience. The ceremony formally commenced with a solemn academic procession comprising of the respected faculty, the Vice principals, Principal of the college and the Chief Guest. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, thanked the Chief Guest for her august presence at the Convocation Ceremony. She also presented the College Performance Report, highlighting the institution’s academic progress, achievements, and commitment to excellence in higher education. The report showcased improvements in academic results, co-curricular engagement, and institutional development. Her parting words carried a message of hope for the bright future of the graduates. A total of 585 students have graduated to date and nearly 299 students were awarded their degrees during the ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. Among them, 198 students earned positions on the Roll of Honours, reflecting outstanding scholastic performance. Additionally, 47 position holders were recognized for their exceptional achievements across the respective subjects and sessions. Huda Khalid, a graduate of BS Chemistry, was given Dr. Azra Raza Award along with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 for achieving a perfect CGPA in her degree. Service Awards were also bestowed upon 12 committed staff members of the college who had completed 25 years of dedicated service. The Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, addressed the Convocation and congratulated the graduates and their parents. She acknowledged the efforts of the college administration, especially of Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, in making IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Ibd. a premier educational institution. She emphasized upon the importance of educating the young girls for the sake of national development. She appreciated the role of the parents in shaping the future of their daughters. Ms. Wajiha Qamar advised the graduates to stay away from mediocrity in whatever role they choose to undertake in their lives. She encouraged the graduates to contribute positively to our country by pursuing knowledge and becoming a morally sound person. The Principal of the college presented the college insignia to the Chief Guest, Ms. Wajiha Qamar as a mark of respect and gratitude. The event concluded on a celebratory note, with graduates, faculty members, and guests expressing pride in the accomplishments of the students. Inter-class Singing Competition (Kalam e Iqbal) 2025

Soulful melodies presenting Iqbal's poetry filled the auditorium of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad as the Inter Class Singing Competition 2025 provided a befitting conclusion to the activities of Iqbal Week 2025. The Chief Guest for the occasion was the Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The Guests of Honour were the Vice principals Ms. Shabana Tabassum and Ms. Sarwat Nazir. The competition was judged by Ms. Ayesha Anjum (HoD, Economics), Ms. Tanveer Zahra (Dept. of Urdu) and Ms. Sabiha Neelam (Dept. of Mathematics). The students sang renditions of Kalam-e-Iqbal to give a message of faith in God, staunch Muslim identity, hope and determination. In her address, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, felicitated the organisers of the event on its flawless execution. She interacted with the students and exchanged views on different facets of Iqbal's poetry. Through a thorough explanation of his poetic philosophy, she counselled the audience that they should follow Iqbal's manifesto of optimism, self-belief and constant struggle for excellence. Investiture Ceremony 2025

The Student Council has consistently played an instrumental role in fostering leadership qualities and providing valuable learning opportunities to the students of the institution. It actively collaborates with both the faculty and the student body to achieve the curricular and co-curricular objectives of the college. At Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate), F-7/2, elections for the Student Council for the academic session 2025–26 were conducted in October 2025. A dignified Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected Executive Members and Class Representatives was held on 23rd October, 2025 in the College Auditorium. The ceremony was graced by the honourable Minister of the State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar as the Chief Guest. She has proven her mettle as a true patron of girl education in her previous assignment as Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training and in her current role as the Minister of State. Mr. Shahid Mahmood Abbasi (Director Colleges), Mr. Muhammad Qamar ud din (Director Urban I) and Ms. Fasiha Fayaz Khan (Deputy Director, Quality Control) from the Federal Directorate of Education were also in attendance. Principals from various educational institutions attended the event as well. The parents of the newly elected Executive Council Members were also invited to witness the auspicious occasion. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran along with its translation by Mehr un Nisa Arshad followed by a Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (s.a.w.w) rendered by Faiza Naseer . The host, Ms. Sara Bibi , extended a warm welcome to the honourable Chief Guest. The Stage Secretary elaborated on the pivotal role of the Student Council in organizing inter-class and inter-collegiate competitions. Ms. Sara Bibi also highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the college during the session 2024–25. Subsequently, the College Anthem was melodiously presented by a group of talented students. The outgoing President, Ms. Huda Khalid, delivered a heartfelt farewell address and formally handed over her responsibilities to the incoming President, Ms. Aoon Muskan. She also presented the college activities report for the session 2024-2025 to the Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. Ms. Wajiha Qamar administered the oath of office to President Ms. Aoon Muskan, Vice President Ms. Areeba Aziz , General Secretary Ms. Amna Azhar, Joint Secretary Ms. Samiya Malik, the Secretaries of various societies, and the Class Representatives. The Chief Guest also distributed badges among the newly appointed office bearers of the Student Council 2025–26. In her address to the audience, the Chief Guest lauded the Student Council for ensuring a smooth and democratic process for electing the Student Council 2025-26. She appreciated the Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, for her dedication and commitment towards her profession. She emphasized upon the character building role of the teachers in the lives of the students. The Chief Guest encouraged the teachers to evolve and equip themselves to maintain pace with the requirements the 21st century. She urged the students to maintain faith in their abilities, asserting that the youth possess the strength and potential to reshape society for the better. Her eloquent and thought-provoking address was received with great appreciation and admiration by the audience. Thereafter, the Principal presented the College Insignia to the Chief Guest as a token of gratitude. In her concluding remarks, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh expressed sincere thanks to the Chief Guest for her gracious presence and extended heartfelt felicitations to the In-Charge Student Council and her team for organizing a splendid and well-coordinated ceremony. Letter to My First Vote – A Symbolic Commitment to Pakistan’s Future An engaging and meaningful event was held at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad on 16th October, 2025 organized by Election Commission of Pakistan and FDE. It aimed at fostering civic responsibility among students and encouraging them to reflect on their role in shaping Pakistan’s future. The activity, titled “Letter to My First Vote,” provided students with an opportunity to write personal letters to their vote, expressing their hopes, aspirations, and commitment towards building a better Pakistan. The event began with the introductory remarks by Ms. Duriya Aamir (Director, Media Coordination and Outreach) from the Election Commission of Pakistan, who emphasized upon the importance of youth participation in the democratic process of casting their vote for the progress of their country. Ms. Nayab Batool (Assistant Director, MCO) guided the audience and the participants regarding the planned activities and their utility. Their words inspired the students to think critically about their responsibilities as future voters. Following the remarks, students enthusiastically took part in the letter-writing activity, crafting heartfelt and thoughtful messages to their “first vote.” Each letter was a symbolic gesture of their personal pledge to engage positively and responsibly in the electoral process. Adding a creative and interactive touch to the event, Pakistan Post set up a mock postal station on the stage. Students actively participated in the postal activity, which included sealing their letters in envelopes, stamping them, and posting them into a symbolic letterbox. In his address, the Chief Guest for the occasion, Mr. Nazar Abbas (Additional Director General, Media Coordination and Outreach, ECP) extended his gratitude towards the Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, and the administration for facilitating the flawless execution of the event. He explained that the aim of today's event was to arouse the curiosity of the youth of the country in the electoral process. Mr. Nazar Abbas presented the tokens of gratitude to the Principal of the college, the Vice Principals, Head of the Student Council and the President of the Student Council. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh shared her thoughts of appreciation for the entire program. Throughout the event, short video clips and student testimonials were recorded, capturing the energy, reflections, and commitment of the youth. Girls Guide Enrollment Ceremony 2025

🌸 Girl Guides Enrollment Ceremony – IMCG (P.G) F-7/2 🌸 Today marked a proud and heartwarming moment at IMCG (P.G) F-7/2, as our Girl Guides took their Oath of Service, pledging to dedicate themselves to helping others, spreading kindness, and upholding moral and social values. 💫 Our respected Principal graced the occasion and shared her insightful thoughts, inspiring the young guides to embody discipline, empathy, and responsibility in every walk of life. She emphasized that true leadership begins with service — to humanity, to community, and to one’s own moral growth. The ceremony reflected the true spirit of unity, compassion, and commitment — values that lie at the heart of Girl Guiding. A proud moment for the institution, and an even prouder one for every young girl who chose to serve beyond herself.

Space Week Celebrations 2025

The Department of Physics organised various activities to celebrate World Space Week at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. The students took part in a Poster Making Competition and Quiz Competition with great enthusiasm. The Chief Guest for the Quiz Competition, held in the college auditorium, was the Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The judges for the quiz competition were Ms. Samina Tanveer (Associate Professor, Dept. of Mathematics) and Dr. Salma Shehnaz (Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemistry). A total of 7 teams took part in the battle of the brains to display their knowledge about our universe, earth and the satellite system. In the final round, the participants competed independently for the top prizes. The results of the quiz competition are as under: 1st position: Noor ul Eman 2nd position: Amber Malik 3rd position: Areeba Nadeem Consolation prize: Arooj Fatima An interesting tableau was also enacted by the students on the status of Pluto in the solar system. The Poster Making Competition was judged by Dr. Shaista Haider (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Fine Arts). Its results are as under: 1st position: Areeba Waheed 2nd position: Ihram Aslam Malik 3rd position: Hadia Asif Khan Consolation prize: Hifza Rauf Abbas A prize for participation was given to Momina Azmat for making a model of Rehbar I. The respected Principal, at the start of her speech, appreciated the efforts of the Department of Physics in organising a wonderful and informative program. She commented, in detail, upon the perfect scheme of Nature, created by the Allah Almighty to facilitate our time on earth. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh advised the audience to use their knowledge to fulfill the purpose of their existence as ordained by Allah Almighty. Dr. Maria Yunas, Head of the Department of Physics, presented a note of gratitude at the end of the program. The activities proved to be an extremely worthwhile endeavour for igniting the scientific curiosity among the students.

International Literacy Day 2025

"Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope. It is a tool for daily life in modern society. It is a bulwark against poverty, and a building block of development... " Kofi Annan International Literary Day is being celebrated on 8th September, 2025. In this regard, IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized various activities to highlight the importance of education and knowledge in the era of technology. The Department of English held an Essay Writing Competition on “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era”. 16 students participated in the contest to show their creative flair through carefully curated words, phrases and adages. Their mastery over the written art displays their love for literacy in a rapidly changing world. The Department of Fine Arts also arranged an activity on the said topic in which 23 participants exhibited their artistic talents enthusiastically. The Department of Computer Sciences held sessions to highlight the importance of digital literacy, including interactive workshops and hands-on sessions on effective use of digital tools and safe internet practices. These activities have accomplished an outstanding job in directing the attention of the young minds towards the issue of importance of literacy and acquisition of knowledge.

Defence Day Celebrations 2025

The students and the faculty gathered in the college on 5th September, 2025 to pay a resounding tribute to the valour and resilience of our armed forces on the occasion of Defence Day 2025. The speeches and the national songs presented by the students not only commended the victorious feats of our army in the war of 1965 and Marka-e-Haq but also the honour with which our martyrs defended our homeland. Dr. Aiysha Madni, explained the significance of jihad, as mentioned in Surah Nisa, in today's scenario of chaos, destruction and cruelty. The Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, emphasized upon the fact that we should become better muslims and better citizens to be eligible for Allah's favour in this world and in the hereafter. She also felicitated the audience on the arrival of the joyous month of Rabi ul Awal and advised them to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) for the progress of our country. She led a prayer for the betterment of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah. The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the national anthem.

"Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet (s.a.w.w), and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace." ( Surah Al Ahzab 33:56) IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organised a beautiful ceremony to celebrate the arrival of the saviour of humanity---- Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). The elegant stage decorations and the setting of the hall created an ambiance befitting the grand occasion of Eid Milaad un Nabi (s.a.w.w). 78th Independence Day Celebrations 2025

The celebration for the 78th Independence Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad on 14th August 2025. The Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh and the Vice Principals, Ms. Shabana Tabassum and Ms. Ms. Sarwat Nazir, along with the members of teaching and administrative staff gathered in the college auditorium to mark the occasion with great national fervour. This year's events are special because the entire nation is celebrating its historic victory in Marka-e-Haq as well. The stage was decorated tastefully, thereby uplifting the hearts of the audience. The flag of the nation, an emblem of freedom and hope, was hoisted by the Principal of the college, Vice Principals and the faculty. Afterwards, the national anthem was played for the audience. The talented offsprings of the teaching and non-teaching staff took part in the event to express their love for Pakistan. Dressed in the national colours of green and white, their enthralling performances magnified the beauty of the day. The Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, felicitated the audience on the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan. In her address, she commended the efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff as well as their offsprings on making the program a success. While quoting the verses of Allama Iqbal, she emphasised upon the fact that collective effort of people can build up the prestige of our educational institution. We should remain committed to serving our institution and our country with utmost sincerity. Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Rehan (Dept. of Islamic Studies) concluded the event with a heartfelt prayer for the betterment of Pakistan and Muslim Ummah.

Orientation Day HSSC-I2025

The Orientation ceremony, held on 11th August, 2025, marked the beginning of the academic session 2025-26 for HSSC I at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. The new students and their parents were welcomed by the smartly garbed Class Representatives of HSSC II and the staff members on duty. Dr. Somia Sohail (HoD, English) provided the opening remarks for the ceremony in which she mentioned details about the facilities provided in the college i.e newly renovated General Library, Seminar Library, Hostel, Infirmary, College Mosque, filtration plants for clean, drinking water and provisions for sports activities. The audience were also shown a documentary detailing the illustrious history and achievements of the institution. The students of HSSC I and their parents received a briefing on the rules and regulations of various aspects of the college by the In charges of the Discipline Committee and Examination Committee. Ms. Rabail Sindhu (Member, Transport Committee) informed the audience about the transport service provided by the college. The principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh congratulated the students on becoming a part of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. She expected from the new entrants to transform themselves into useful members of the society by following the guidance of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Rasool (p.b.u.h). She also put emphasis upon observing punctuality and regularity; failure to do so will result in penalties and fine. Similarly, there is a complete ban on the possession of mobile phones. Lastly, she counselled the students to work hard and have a hearty breakfast for a fruitful day in college. The ceremony ended with the rendition of the National Anthem. The Principal, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer, the college administration and the teaching faculty welcomes the new students with the hope that they will strive to become a source of pride for their families, educational institution and the country.

Kashmir Solidarity Day 5th August. 2025

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Kashmiris all over the world are observing August 5, 2025 as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day) to mark the day when the special status of Jammu and Kashmir was unilaterally removed by the Indian government. A special event was organised by Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate) F-7/2 Islamabad to express condemnation of India's revocation of Article 370 in 2019 as well. The Chief Guest for the occasion was the respected Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. After the recitation and translation of the Holy Quran, Ms. Qurat ul Ain Rehan (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Islamic Studies) opened the program with a strong statement on the Indian atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir for the past 75 years. The students presented speeches and songs to show solidarity to the Kashmiris. Abeer Afzal Raja registered her protest against the inhumane control and silence imposed upon the Kashmiris by the Indian government. Anaya Aroob delivered a scathing criticism on the general indecisiveness on the issue of Kashmir. In her address, the Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, emphasized upon the need of freedom for all the oppressed Muslims worldwide which can only be gained through the staunchness of faith. She concluded with a wish to see Pakistan prosper and become a voice for the voiceless of the world.

Pakistan Day 2025 celebrations were hosted by the Student Council in collaboration with the Departments of Chemistry and Zoology of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. The Chief Guest for the occasion was the Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The focus of this year's celebration was not only the patriotic spirit of the Pakistanis but also a renewed hope for the future of our country. The speeches and songs presented by the students showed their commitment towards Nation Building in these precarious times. Poetic recitations by Ms. Sobia Masood from the Department of Physics and Ujala from BS Islamist reiterated their steadfast commitment towards their homeland. A documentary on the achievements of fellow Pakistanis was shown to the students for a Quiz in which the students participated enthusiastically. In her address, the Chief Guest commended the efforts of the teachers and the students on organizing a successful event. She acknowledged the talents of our youth and expressed her belief that they have the potential to carry the country to the heights of glory. She stressed upon the need to preserve the Islamic identity and ideology of Pakistan. Posters made on the Pakistan Day by the creative students were also displayed in the auditorium. The event ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.

Tree Plantation and a Poster Competition Organized by the NAB

A number of productive activities were held at IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. A team from National Accountability Bureau led by Director (NAB) Asim Raza Adil organized a Poster Making Competition in the college to raise awareness on the plague of corruption.The Director for Awareness and Prevention(NAB), Mr. Abdul Khaliq was also present on the occasion as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of the young artists in highlighting the sensitive issue. In the competition, Nimra Siddique took the third position, Haniya Qadeer secured the second position whereas, Syeda Kanwal Batool Kazmi secured the top honours. The Horticulture Committee of the college also organized a Tree Plantation Drive in which Director (NAB) Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Principal Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, respected Vice Principals and HoDs of the institution planted saplings of Pomegranate tree, Loquat tree, Fig plant, Guava plant, Sweet lime tree, Grape plant, Falsa tree, Jaman tree, Citron tree and Almond tree in the college gardens. Fasiha Fayyaz Khan, Assistant Director (FDE), participated in the Tree Plantation Drive as well. They also watched an interesting presentation on the benefits of the trees planted in the drive, which was presented by Iqra from BS Chemistry IV. Overall, the activities provided an excellent opportunity to channelize the creative and nurturing spirit of the attendees.

Excellence Award Ceremony 2025

Excellence Award Ceremony was held in the college auditorium of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. The ceremony was organized to distribute certificates among students of HSSC I and II who achieved the highest marks in a particular subject without failing in any other subject in Send Up Examination and the class tests. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The Chief Guest along with the Controller of Examinations, Ms. Salma Naheed, gave certificates to the worthy students. In her address, the Principal congratulated the students and said that such events motivate the students to perform better in their academic life. She also counselled the audience to utilize their time and energy to strive for excellence and achieving their goals in life. Excellence Award Ceremony serves as a magnificent impetus for the enterprising students to work diligently for their bright future.

Career Councelling Session 2025

Career counselling session was held for the students of BS as well as HSSC in the college. It was organized by Mannabi Business School. It is providing quality education to the students in the field of Chartered Accountancy. The speakers for the session were Ms. Attiya Siddiqui (CA, Principal of the Institute) and Mr. Azmat Hussain Shah. They shed light on the fact that CA is a professional degree which produces multitasking individuals for the business world. It also ensures an employment rate of 100℅ and world wide recognition of the degree. According to the speakers, Chartered Accountants are the back bone of the financial management in every industry. It was a fruitful session where the students learnt about the eligibility criteria and the scope of Chartered Accountancy.

Intercollegiate English Drama Competition 2025

IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized an Inter Collegiate English Drama Competition on 27th February, 2025. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Shabnam Riaz, an award winning newscaster, poet and artist. It was a vibrant program where the budding artisans performed on the short stories from the Victorian Era. The esteemed judges for the competition were: 1. Dr. Rashida Imran 2. Ms. Rabia Malik 3. Ms. Mah Rukh Nishat The students presented beautiful performances on some of the famous short stories of the Victorian masters. The performance on Oscar Wilde's "The Happy Prince" by IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad deeply resonated with the audience. The students also entertained the spectators with poems, songs, excerpt readings and videos about the era of Queen Victoria while waiting for the enactments to commence. In her address, the Chief Guest, Ms. Shabnam Riaz, greatly appreciated the efforts of the students and the organisers of the event. She emphasized upon the fact that we should overcame our fears and believe in ourselves wholeheartedly. It is our being which is precious and not our possessions. Therefore, we must invest in ourselves. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh applauded the endeavours of the young artists and their mentors. The posters were a beautiful testament to their creativity and skills in the field of technology. The Inter Class Cooking Competition 2025 came as a welcome respite after the Send-Up Exams. The venue pulsated with colourful decorations and aromatic delicacies. The contest was divided into two categories: House of Kebab and World of Chocolate. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Principal Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The judges for the competition were Ms. Ayesha Anjum (HoD, Economics) and Ms. Adeela Asim (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Chemistry). The participants were judged on the basis of the taste and presentation of their dishes. Kashmir Solidarity Day 2025

A dignified ceremony was held in the College Library of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad to register our protest on Kashmir Solidarity Day 2025. The students presented speeches and poems to shed light on the atrocities committed against the peaceful Kashmiris of IoK by the Indian forces. A dialogue between the students reiterated the promise of continuing to be vocal for the rights of the natives of Kashmir. A poem titled " میری آواز سنو" asked for the freedom of Kashmir from the shackles of Indian subjugation. Sadia Nazeer, from 1st year A, presented Allama Iqbal's poem "وادی لولاب", decked out in Kashmiri finery. The Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants in her address. She stressed upon the need to recognize our duties as a Muslim. It is incumbent upon us to help our oppressed brethren in the time of need whether they belong to Kashmir or Palestine. Posters and books were displayed outside the library to depict the plight of fellow Kashmiris. The event played a vital role in highlighting the issue of Kashmir in the young minds.
