45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony 2026

Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate) F-7/2, Ibd. hosted a grand 45th Convocation and Prize Distribution Ceremony on 29th April, 2026 to honour the academic achievements of graduates of BS Psychology, Chemistry, Economics, and Islamic Studies. The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of students from multiple academic sessions, including 2018–2022, 2019–2023, 2020–2024, and 2021–2025. The ceremony was graced by the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, who attended as the Chief Guest. Her presence served as an inspiration for the young minds in the audience. The ceremony formally commenced with a solemn academic procession comprising of the respected faculty, the Vice principals, Principal of the college and the Chief Guest. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, thanked the Chief Guest for her august presence at the Convocation Ceremony. She also presented the College Performance Report, highlighting the institution’s academic progress, achievements, and commitment to excellence in higher education. The report showcased improvements in academic results, co-curricular engagement, and institutional development. Her parting words carried a message of hope for the bright future of the graduates. A total of 585 students have graduated to date and nearly 299 students were awarded their degrees during the ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. Among them, 198 students earned positions on the Roll of Honours, reflecting outstanding scholastic performance. Additionally, 47 position holders were recognized for their exceptional achievements across the respective subjects and sessions. Huda Khalid, a graduate of BS Chemistry, was given Dr. Azra Raza Award along with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 for achieving a perfect CGPA in her degree. Service Awards were also bestowed upon 12 committed staff members of the college who had completed 25 years of dedicated service. The Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, addressed the Convocation and congratulated the graduates and their parents. She acknowledged the efforts of the college administration, especially of Prof. Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, in making IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Ibd. a premier educational institution. She emphasized upon the importance of educating the young girls for the sake of national development. She appreciated the role of the parents in shaping the future of their daughters. Ms. Wajiha Qamar advised the graduates to stay away from mediocrity in whatever role they choose to undertake in their lives. She encouraged the graduates to contribute positively to our country by pursuing knowledge and becoming a morally sound person. The Principal of the college presented the college insignia to the Chief Guest, Ms. Wajiha Qamar as a mark of respect and gratitude. The event concluded on a celebratory note, with graduates, faculty members, and guests expressing pride in the accomplishments of the students. The convocation served as a testament to the college’s dedication to nurturing talent and fostering academic excellence. اسلام آباد ماڈل کالج (برائے طالبات) 2/ F-7 میں 45ویں کانووکیشن اور تقسیم انعامات کی نہایت پر وقار اور علمی تقریب منعقد ہوئی ، جس میں نمایاں کارکردگی دکھانے والی طالبات کو ناصرف اسناد دی گئیں بلکہ بھر پور حوصلہ افزائی بھی کی گئی- تقریب کی مہمانِ خصوصی محترمہ وجیہہ قمر وفاقی وزیر مملکت (وزارت وفاقی تعلیم و پیشہ وارانہ تربیت) تھیں- تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز تلاوت قرآن پاک اور نعت رسولِ مقبول سے ہوا ۔ بعد ازاں قومی ترانہ پیش کیا گیا- کالج کی پرنسپل ڈاکٹر فوزیہ تنویر شیخ صاحبہ نے کالج رپورٹ پیش کی، جس میں انہوں نے کالج کی نصابی و غیر نصابی سرگرمیوں ، حالیہ کامیابیوں اور طالبات کی شاندار تعلیمی ترقی پر تفصیل سے روشنی ڈالی ۔ مجمو عی طور پر 585 طالبات نے ڈگری مکمل کی اور 299 طالبات کو اس تقریب میں ڈگریاں تفویض کی گئیں، جن میں بی ایس کیمسٹری ، نفسیات ، معاشیات اور اسلامیات سے تعلق رکھنےوالی طالبات شامل تھیں ۔ تعلیمی میدان میں غیر معمولی اور امتیازی کارکردگی دکھانے والی 198 طالبات کو رول آف آنر سے نوازا گیا، پوزیشن ہولڈرز 47 طالبات کو سرٹیفکیٹ اور انعامات دے گئے۔ نہایت اہم لمحہ وہ تھا جب بی۔ایس کیمسٹری کی طالبہ ہدیٰ خالد کو انکی بہترین کارکردگی کی بناپر ڈاکٹر عذرا رضا ایوارڈ اور 50000روپے نقد انعام دیا گیا ۔اس موقع پر ادارے کے اُن مخلص ممبران کو سروس شیلڈز پیش کی گئیں جنہوں نے اپنی زندگی کے پچیس سال تندہی اور وفاداری سے کالج کی خدمت کے لئے وقف کیے ۔ وفاقی وزیر مملکت وجیہہ قمر صاحبہ نے اپنے خطاب میں فارغ التحصیل طالبات ، والدین اور اساتذہ کو دلی مبارکباد پیش کی ۔ اور انہوں نے نوجوان گریجوایٹس کو نصیحت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ اپنی عملی زندگی میں ایک نئے سفر کا آغاز کرنے جارہے ہیں ،انہیں چاہیے کہ وہ اپنی پیشہ وارانہ زندگی میں محنت، لگن ،دیانت داری اور جذبہ خدمت کے ساتھ کا م کریں تاکہ ملک و قوم کا سر فخر سے بلند ہو سکے - مہمانِ خصوصی محترمہ وجیہہ قمر نے تعلیمی معیار کو بلند رکھنے اور ادارے کے بہترین نظم و نسق پر پرنسپل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فوزیہ تنویر شیخ کی انتظامی صلاحیتوں کو سراہا اور کالج کے تدریسی عملے کی ان تھک محنت کی بھر پور تعریف کی۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر پرنسپل صاحبہ نے مہمان خصوصی ک تشریف آوری پر شکریہ ادا کیا اور انہیں کالج کی جانب سے یادگاری کالج کرسٹ(نشان) پیش کیا-
