Labour Day

“Without labor nothing prospers.” —Sophocles Every year Labour Day is celebrated all over the world on the first of May to acknowledge the vital role of labourers in a nation's progress. In this regard, a ceremony was held in IMCG (PG) F-7/2 today. The Chief Guest for the function was Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh. The function was organised by the Department of Economics. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasul-e-Maqbool (s.a.w.w). An English documentary was presented by Maheen Khan, a student of BS Economics semester VI, on the history of May day. Sadia Komal, a pupil of BS Economics semester VI, educated the audience regarding the rights of the workers in Islam. The students of BS Economics semester VIII presented a spirited tableau on Labour Day. A student of BS Economics semester VIII, Amina bibi, presented a melodious poem on the significance of fair treatment of the labourers of the nation. Iffat and group from BS Economics semester IV dramatically depicted the plight of a labourer in this capitalist era. Fatima Noor from BS Economics semester VIII presented a poem on May day. Areeba and group presented a tableau on the unfair treatment of the diligent workers by the society. Maheen Khan presented a prayer for the labourers who are the unsung heroes of our nation. In her address, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh greatly appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students of the Department of Economics for organising an excellent event today. She emphasized upon the importance of respecting the labourers for their toil and to work hard for achieving success in life and hereafter. The Principal of the college along with the head of the Department of Economics distributed certificates of appreciation among the participants of today's function. The program ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.

It is a great honour for IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad that FBISE has awarded merit scholarships to seven of its top scoring students based on the result of Annual HSSC Examination 2022. In the field of Humanities, Faiza Younis, Mishaa Zafar, Syeda Fizza Rizvi and Ruqia Zahoor have been awarded the scholarship. In the category of Pre Medical, Hijab Zahra is the proud recipient of the merit scholarship. In the field of Pre Engineering, Noor Fatima has received the scholarship from FBISE. Lastly, Syeda Abeeha Batool, from General Science group, has been given the merit scholarship. This achievement is a testament to the diligence of the students and their mentors. Collaborative Poster Making Competition 2023 on Kashmir Day

The students displayed their artistic prowess on the canvases to depict the atrocities committed against the kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir. The audience appreciated the efforts of the young talent in highlighting the plight of the kashmiris.

Intercollegiate Excellence Gala 2023 on Kashmir Solidarity Day

IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad had the honour of hosting the collaborative event on Kashmir Solidarity Day 2023. The program was a part of an ongoing commitment of the Government and People of Pakistan to raise voice against the illegal occupation of Kashmir by the Indian forces. Mr. Aftab Tariq, Director Colleges FDE, and Ms. Riffat Jabeen, Director Academics FDE, graced the function. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasul-Maqbool (S.A.W.W). The host of the program, Ms. Somia Sohail (Assistant Professor, IMCG F-7/2) welcomed the audience and stressed upon the importance of the right of self-determination for the fellow Kashmiris. The co-ordinator of the function, Ms. Saleha Jabeen (Principal, IMCG F-7/4 Margalla) presented a poignant poem written by her to highlight the atrocities faced by kashmiris under the illegal rule of India. Maha Asad and group from IMCG (PG) F-7/2 performed on a tableau which beautifully displayed the simple lifestyle of kashmiris. Javeria and group from IMCG G-10/4 enacted a heart wrenching tableau to protest against the perpetrators of cruelties in IOK. The passionate children from IMCG I-10/4 performed on a patriotic song to send a strong message of solidarity with the fellow kashmiris. The Principal of IMCG (PG) F-7/4 Margalla and the teachers from various colleges crooned a song to remind the world of its obligations to resolve the territorial dispute as per the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. The participants from all institutions working under the ambit of FDE presented praise worthy folk songs and tableaus on Kashmir Solidarity Day. Mr. Aftab Tariq, Director Colleges FDE, appreciated the efforts of the heads of the institutions, teachers and students for organising the program on a short notice. He advised the students to gain knowledge and pursue books to succeed in this world. The vibrant program ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.

InterColigiate Calligraphy Competition 2023

IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized an Inter Collegiate Calligraphy Competition on 19th January, 2023. The participants had to render a Quranic verse in Kufic script. The esteemed judges for the competition were Mr. Hunzala and Ms. Ishrat Raqeeb. Inter Coligiate English Debate Competition 2023

IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized an Inter Collegiate English Debate Competition on 19th January, 2023. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mr. Harris Khaleeq, a prolific writer and poet. It was a vibrant program where the participants debated on the topic "Freedom has no boundaries". The esteemed judges for the competition were1. Mr. Rizwan Ronaq Rao2. Ms. Rabiya Aamir3. Ms. Sayyeda Farihatulaen RizviThe students presented convincing arguments in favour and against the proposed topic. The passionate reasonings of the participants who spoke in opposition of the motion touched the hearts of the audience as the house voted in their favour. Irsha Abu Bakar, a student of 2nd year, recited the poem "Caged Bird" by the renowned American poetess, Maya Angelou. In his address, the Chief Guest, Mr. Harris Khaleeq, appreciated the efforts of the students and the organisers of the event. He expressed his delight over the fact that the participants presented their arguments eloquently. He read some of his favourite poems that were relevant to today's topic. Four teams participated in the tournament. The atmosphere was charged by the infectious energy of the crowd which served to boost the morale of the talented players. " Acting is magical. Change your look and your attitude, and you can be anyone." __ Alicia Witt An Inter Class English Drama Competition was held on 13th January, 2023 in IMCG (PG) F-7/ 2 Islamabad. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Ms. Samina Tirmizi, a gifted academic who transformed many lives during her tenure as a Professor in IMCG (PG) F-7/2, Islamabad. The Principal of the college, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, was the Guest of Honour. The worthy judges of the competition were: 1. Ms. Nosheen Kanwal (Department of English) 2. Ms. Ambreen Tallat (Department of English) 3. Ms. Rabia Amjad (Department of English) A total of three aesthetically pleasing dramatic performances were presented by the enthusiastic students on the following plays: i) The Boy Comes Home ii) Princess on the Road iii) The Dear Departed The audience thoroughly enjoyed the enactments and the songs performed by the budding artists. The Chief Guest, Ms. Samina Tirmizi, gave a message of industriousness and diligence to the audience.She advised the young minds not to waste their god gifted potential. She wanted the young girls to keep their goals high and achieve great things in their lives while following Allah's word. In the end, the honourable Chief Guest and the esteemed members of the faculty distributed awards among the winners. The results of the competition are as follows: Best Drama : Javeria & Group (2nd year H) for "The Dear Departed" Best actress: Anila ( 2nd year H) for playing the role of Amelia in "The Dear Departed" With today's event, we have come to the end of Inter Class Competitions which started on 5th January, 2023 and continued till 13th January, 2023. Fifteen different events were conducted in various categories and a total of 350 students participated in these events.Fifty eight Prizes were distributed among the winners including: 1st Prize: 15 2nd Prize: 14 3rd Prize:. 14 Consolation Prize: 13 Two participants won the prize of Best Actress. On the basis of overall performance, H.S.S.C II won the Best Class trophy. These extra curricular activities provided a much needed respite to the students and the teachers alike.

IMCG (PG) F- 7/2 Islamabad organized an Inter Class Urdu Drama Competition on 11th January, 2023. A well rounded drama creates a sensory impression in its viewers during the performance of the artists in order to convey a certain message. The college organized the Urdu Drama Competition to fully explore the talents of the young students as well as guide the audience in an enjoyable manner. The Chief Guest of the occasion was the Principal of the college Dr Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh.The worthy judges were: 1. Ms. Anila Tahir ( HOD, Islamic studies) 2. Dr. Salma (Department of Chemistry) 3. InterClass English Debate and Poetry Recital Competition 2023

The Department of English (IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad) organized an Inter Class English Debate and Poetry Recitation Competition on 10th January, 2023. The students of first year and BS Psychology and Chemistry were invited to attend the function. The topic for debate was "Freedom has no boundaries" The participants were invited to speak in favour or against the proposed topic. The Principal of the College, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, was the Chief Guest and the Vice Principal, Ms. Sarwat Nazir , was the Guest of Honour of the ceremony. Dr. Maria Yunis (Department of Physics), Ms. Munazza Makhdoom ( Department of Botany) and Ms. Amna Saeed (Department of English) graciously attended the event as judges. A total of 18 participants put up a fiery display of oratory to support or oppose the topic. After the speeches of the participants, the house voted against the topic. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Sarwat Nazir, conveyed her views and said that while she was in favour of complete freedom in creative arts and imagination but in other areas of life, Man must abide by the rules of Allah Almighty. In the second half of the program, 8 contestants beautifully recitated the poems "Because I could not stop for Death" by Emily Dickinson and "Solitude" by Ella Wheeler Wilcox. She quoted the verses of Surah Baqarah to drive home the point that for a practising Muslim, there is no other way except the righteous path determined by Allah Almighty. A human being can exercise freedom only within the boundaries set Allah Almighty. The program ended with the rendition of the National Anthem.

An Inter Class competition of Cooking was conducted by the Department ofHome Economics. The theme of competition was "A Birthday Party". Ms. Sarwat Nazir (Vice Principal), Ms. Shabana Tabassum (Vice Principal) and Ms. Aneela Tahir ( HOD, Islamic Studies) were invited as the judges of the event. A total of 33 students participated in the competition. The eatables were delicious and tastefully presented. Tanzeela, a student of BS Economics(5), won the first prize. Maria Adil, a student of second year (D), won the second prize. Bakhtawar, a student of second year ( L), won the third prize and Munazza, a student of ADP won the fourth prize respectively. Overall, the judges were impressed by the culinary skills of the students.

An Inter Class Quiz Competition was held on 9th January, 2023 in IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. Madam Shabana was invited as the Chief Guest of the event. Two teams comprising of ten students each participated in the quiz. Different questions related to general knowledge were asked from both teams in three rounds. The quiz tested the competitors' knowledge as well as their mental agility. Ammara Saeed, a student of BS Islamic studies (semester V), won the first prize. Areesha binte Saeed,a student of First year (E), won the second prize. Tehreem, a student of First year (C), won the third prize and Laiba, a student of BS Islamic studies(semester 5), won the fourth prize. The ceremony concluded with the speech of Chief Guest. She appreciated the students and emphasised upon the importance of gaining knowledge. In her speech Madam Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, put stress on the need to respect the teachers and proper behaviour. She also advised the students to work honestly. She also put great emphasis on the importance of family in grooming an individual. In the end prizes were distributed among the position holders.

Ms. Arifa Sameen, an experienced academician recently retired from the college, was invited as the Chief Guest of the event. Madam Samina Tanveer (Department of Mathematics), Madam Abida Younas (Department of Arabic) and Madam Shazia Abid (Department of Islamic Studies) were invited as the judges. The topic of the debate:تجھ کو تیرے ادراک نے بہکا کے رکھ دیا Twelve students participated in the competition. They delivered fiery debates and kept the audience captivated by their arguments. Maryam Fatima, a student of First year (E), won the first prize. Zoha Shahid, a student of First year (C), won the second prize. Sumaya Sultan, a student of second year (F), won the third prize and Sadia Komal, a student of BS Economics(5), won the fourth prize. The ceremony concluded with the speech of Chief Guest. She shared her literary experience with the students and appreciated their efforts as well. She also gave her opinion regarding the topic of debate. Prizes were distributed among the position holders.

The Inter Class Hamd and Naat Competition was held on 6th January, 2023 in IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad. Ms. Rahat Tariq, Head of the Department of Physics, was invited as the Chief Guest of the event. Madam Principal was also invited as the guest of honour. The Judges for the event were Ms. Nazneen from the Department of Chemistry, Ms. Paras from the Department of Islamic Studies and Ms. Sadia from the Department of Psychology. Eighteen students participated in the competition. Sehar Safoor, a student of Second year (F), won the first prize. Aizah Qasim, a student of second year (K), won the second prize. Ilaf Farooq, a student of First year (K), won the third prize and Kisa Sakina, a student of First year, won the fourth prize. The ceremony concluded with the speech of the Chief Guest. She appreciated Ms.Samina Rahim for her heartfelt efforts. In her address to the students, she delivered the message of love and emphaisized upon the recitation of Holy Quran regularly. Madam Principal also appreciated the students and delivered a thankyou note to the Chief Guest.

Earth Environment Day Celebration 2023

The students of BS Psychology III celebrated Earth Environment Day on 4th January, 2023. The Principal of the college, Dr Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, was invited as a guest on the occasion. The students prepared different models and presentations on various environmental problems such as natural disasters, deforestation, pollution,recycling and climate change. After listening to the presentations, Madam Principal shared her opinion with the presenters. She gave references from the Holy Quran and attributed the misdeeds of Man as the cause of natural disasters and climate change. She also appreciated the efforts of the students in highlighting the issues. The ceremony ended with Madam Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh and Ms. Shaista Sheikh, HoD Applied Psychology, planting five Rose saplings in the college lawns.

Seminars on Awareness Regarding Responsible Usage of Internet

On the directive of Federal Directorate of Education, the Department of Computer Sciences (IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad) has conducted three seminars in the ongoing process to educate the students regarding the responsible use of internet. The teachers prepared power point presentations to instruct the students about the utility of various digital apps and websites,ways to make their social media footprint secure and tackle cyber crimes effectively. They were also informed about the cyber crimes cell of FIA and its role in making the cyber space safe for everyone. The students appreciated the informative sessions held by the Department of Computer Sciences.

Honourable judges included Vice Principal Miss Shabana Tabasum, Vice Principal Miss Sarwat Nazir and Dr. Irum Sheikh. Twenty seven students participated in the competition. Bakhtawar Kaleem, a student of second year (L), won the first prize. Aila Qayyum, a student of second year (L), won the second prize and Saba Shahzadi, a student of first year (Q), won the third prize. Emaan Saqib, a student of first year (K), won the fourth prize. Ms. Shagufta (Department of Arabic), Dr.Noshaba and Ms. Khalida (Department of Islamic Studies) were the esteemed judges. Ten students participated in the competition.Verses 190---194 from Surah Aal-e- Imran were recited in the competition. Anika Andleeb, a student of second year (F), won the first position. Nida Gul, a student of BS Economics (|||), won the second position and Barrera Tabassum, a student of second year (H), won the third position. Quaid-e-Azam Day Celebrations 2022

On 22nd December, 2022 IMCG (PG) F-7 2 Islamabad organized a vibrant program to celebrate the 146th birthday of the founder of our nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah. The teachers and the students pulled out all stops to honour the life of the great leader Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah. The stage was beautifully decorated by the Department of Fine Arts. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasul-Maqbool (s.a.w.w). The students presented patriotic speeches and songs to pay homage to the par excellence personality of Mohammed Ali Jinnah. An educational skit was enacted by the students of 2nd year which highlighted the various facets of Quaid's life. Letters to Quaid-e-Azam were also narrated to express our gratitude to Mohammed Ali Jinnah. In line with the Quaid's vision of Pakistan, the Christian community in college gathered in the college hall to celebrate Christmas. They happily participated in singing jingles and answering the questions asked in a quiz. The Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, offered her fecilitations on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam's birthday and Christmas. She also appreciated the efforts of the Students council, participants and Ms. Samina Rahim (HOD, Urdu) for making today's event a success. She stressed upon the importance of unity and brotherhood is the need of the hour.She also said that we should work sincerely in every field of life. The Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, also distributed monetary gifts among the christian staff members of the college. The program ended with the rendition of the National Anthem .

Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) F-7/2, Islamabad held the Investiture Ceremony of Student Council 2022-23 on 24th November, 2022. The Chief Guest also presented a shield to the Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, for winning Best College Award in F.G. setup. Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized a soul stirring ceremony of Milaad-e-Mustafa (s.a.w.w) to celebrate the birth and life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) on 13th October, 2022. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) was sent to the world as Rehmat-ul-lil Almeen for the entire humanity. It is incumbent upon every Muslim to follow his Sunnah. The students recited Naats (s.a.w.w) and presented speeches on the occasion in praise of the last apostle of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (sa.w.w). The ceremony ended with a dua led by Ms. Ayesha Madni ( Assistant Professor, Dept. of Islamic Studies) to ask for Allah's benevolence and forgiveness.

Orientation Day HSSC-I 2022

IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad organized an orientation for the newly admitted students of HSSC I on Friday, 02.09.2022. The program was arranged for the purpose of guiding the students about their first day in the college and its rules and regulations. The students were accompanied by their parents. In the first half, the students of science subjects were acclimatized to the vision and goals of the college whereas in the second half, the students of humanities were welcomed to the the college. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasul-e-Maqbool (s.a.w.w). The respected Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, warmly greeted the students. She also expressed her desire for the newly admitted students to strive with all their energies to uphold the illustrious reputation of IMCG (PG) F-7/2, Islamabad. Pakista Red Crecent Junior Youth Club Activity

An interactive session was organized by the Junior/Youth Club of Pakistan Red Crescent in Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) F-7 2 Islamabad on 17 August 2022. The program was divided into two parts. The first half focused upon Career Information. The speaker was a career counselor at NUST University. She guided the students regarding different career streams and the skill set required for them. The second half of the session was presented by the volunteers at Pakistan Red Crescent who were students of psychology. They concentrated upon Stress and Anger Management. They discussed different triggers of anger and stress and how to manage them in a positive manner. The presenters also demonstrated a deep breathing exercise to the students to help them cope with anger and stress.

Our beloved homeland, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is celebrating its 75th Independence Day on 14 August 2022. Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) F-7 2 Islamabad organized a vibrant program to celebrate this joyous occasion. The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasul-e-Maqbool (S.A.W.W).The host of the function, Ms. Somia Sohail, welcomed the audience to the celebrations of the golden jubilee of Pakistan. Afterwards, our august Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, accompanied by her staff members hoisted the flag of Pakistan and the national anthem was played promptly. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff along with their children put together a soul-stirring event. They painted the atmosphere green with their patriotic sentiments conveyed through poems, speeches and national songs. Madam Rahat Tariq of the Department of Physics recited a poem to depict her feelings for her mother land. Madam Samina Raheem, Head of the Department of Urdu, presented her favourite patriotic poem by Professor Karam Haideri. Madam Arifa Sameen of the Department of Urdu recitated a poem written by herself on promotion of the right values for the betterment of our country. Madam Aneela Tahir of the Department of Islamic Studies encouraged the youth of the country to accomplish great things in her speech. Ms. Sobia Masood gave a lively speech to motivate the audience to work hard to make Pakistan a great nation. The Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, appreciated the efforts of the students, staff members and their children to make today's function a tremendous success. Celebration of Independence Day

On the felicitous occasion of 75th Independence Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) F-7/2 organized a function on 12 August 2022 in the college auditorium. The stage was beautifully decorated with lights and the colours of the Pakistani flag to match the occasion. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Naat e Maqbool (S.A.W.W). Afterwards, the Chief Guest, Ms. Naira Qadeer (Former Head, Department of Pakistan Studies IMCG (PG) F-7/2, Islamabad), and the respected Principal of the institution Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh were invited to hoist the National Flag of Pakistan. After the hoisting of the flag, the audience stood respectfully for the National Anthem. The students of 2nd year presented a tableau on the pre-partition events leading to the creation of Pakistan. Heart warming songs and speeches were presented by the students to commemorate the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. A documentary on Quaid-e-Azam was played for the audience and the enthusiastic students took part in a quiz at the end of it. Prizes were given to the winners. Tributes were also paid to the people from different walks of life who were contributing towards the progress of the country. The Principal IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, was invited to the stage to say a few words. She appreciated the efforts of her staff in orchestrating today's event. She told the students to be thankful for the blessing of a free country and to be mindful of our responsibilities towards Pakistan. To commemorate the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan, the Department of Fine Arts (IMCG F-7/2 , Islamabad) held a Poster Making Competition on 12 August 2022. 6 students participated in the competition to artistically depict their patriotic sentiments for their homeland. After the judgement by our honorable Chief Guest, Ms. Naira Qadeer (Former Head, Department of Pakistan Studies IMCG (PG) F-7/2 Islamabad), Momina Masood stood at 3rd position, Hiba Karim stood 2nd and Hajra took the top prize.

Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG) F-7/2 conducted an interactive session led by the respected Principal, Dr. Fauzia Tanveer Sheikh, with regard to Continuous Professional Development on 27th July 2022. It was a productive discussion between the Principal and the faculty members which focused upon effectively tackling the issues plaguing the educational institution. Class room Management and Skills Effective teaching in the light of Islamic Studies By Dr. Aiysha Madni ISLAMIC STUDIES DEPARTMENT 2. Screen Addiction By Ayesha Kiyani Psychology Department . Madam Ayesha Madni eloquently highlighted the responsibilities of the teachers through the Quranic verses and Islamic precepts. In the second half of the session, Madam Ayesha Kayani spoke about “Cyber Sickness” and how it is distracting our youth from their goals. In the end, she provided some tips to combat the spread of screen addiction. These sessions, regarding CPD, provided the much needed perspective to the faculty members before the start of the academic session next week.

Sana Zameer of BS Islamic Studies, Narjis Zahra of 1st year and Tehreem Gardezi of 2nd year delivered speeches on the Kashmir cause. A vibrant program was arranged in the college today to commemorate the Quaid day. Principal Prof. Rakhshanda Manzoor graced the occasion as chief guest. The program started with recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat e Rasool SAW. The audience was given an introduction to the life and personality of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. A group of students sang the national songs ' Millat ka Pasbaan' and 'Yun d Humain Azadi'. A melodious rendition of 'Zameen o Asmaan mein hur Zubaan' regaled the audience followed by an engaging multimedia presentation on the work and struggle of Quaid in the creation of Pakistan. Principal Prof. Rakhshanda Manzoor addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of Quaid Day. The program ended with the recitation of the national anthem.

The members of CMC were given a tour of the college premises to highlight issues related to maintenance of building, plantation and installation of water filtration plant in the college. Iqbal Day was celebrated in the college on 9th November, 2021. A vibrant program was organised in the college auditorium to mark the occasion. The program started with recitation of the Holy Quran by Mahnoor Zafar of 2nd year followed by rendition of Iqbal's devotional verse 'Khudi ka Sirr e Nihan La Ilaha' by Izza Yasir. Maryam Munaf of BS Psychology recited Iqbal's timeless tribute to the Prophet PBUH 'Loh bhi tu Kalam bhi tu, tera wajood al kitaab'. The presenter of the program shed light on the dynamic personality of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, his influential and magnetic verse and his incomparable contribution to the Pakistan Movement. Kalaam e Iqbal 'Tujhe Yaad Kia Nahi hai' by Fareeha Awan of 2nd year, 'Undlas ke Maidan mein Tariq k Dua' by Dua Fatima of 1st year and 'Shikwa , Jawab e Shikwa' by a duo of second year students revived Iqbal's message and warmed the hearts of the audience. Further, Hajra Nayab and group presented tableau on 'Ya Rubb Dil e Muslim'. Aleena Rao of 1st year expounded on the philosophy and poetic message of Iqbal with special reference to Iqbal's Islamic thought and vision. Wania of 1st year performed on Iqbal's famous poem Iblees and Fareeha Awan of 2nd year delivered 'La Phir Ik baar Vohi Bada o Jam aye Saki'. Madam Rabia Kiyani of Persian department presented Iqbal's Persian kalaam. A tableau on Labb pe Ati hai Dua closed the stimulating program. Incharge Students' Council Madam Ghazala Ishtiaq and Principal Professor Rakhshanda Manzoor addressed the audience and emphasized the relevance of Iqbal's message to the young generation. A program was organized in the college auditorium to mark the Black Day of Kashmir on 27th October, 2021. The program started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and Naat e Rasool. Madam Arifa Sameen of Urdu department dedicated her poem Khawab Murtay Nahi to the freedom struggle of Kashmiris. English speech by Faiza Younas of 2nd year and Urdu speech by Tehreem Gardezi of 2nd year emphasised the atrocities being faced by the people of Kashmir. Fareeha Awan of BS sang the timeless Kashmiri song Munn de Mauj and Izza Ali Yasir of 2nd year rendered the poignant song Anso'un k Zabaan in her melodious voice. Maha Chaudhry paid rich tribute to the Kashmiri freedom fighters in her recitation of the poem Shaheed e Kashmir. Madam Samina Rahim of Urdu department delivered a note on the phenomenal sacrifice of Shaheed e Kashmir Maqbool Butt and recited Ahmed Faraz's famous poetic tribute to Maqbool Butt. Evocative paintings and posters using art as a medium to express solidarity with Kashmir cause were displayed outside the hall. The program ended on national anthem sung by a group of 2nd year students.

Mehfil e Milad un Nabi SAW was arranged in the college on 22nd October, 2021. The event started with Quran Khawani in the college auditorium at 8:30 a.m. Faculty and students recited the Holy Quran. Mehfil e Naat followed the recitation of the Holy Quran. Soulful naats rendered in melodious voices warmed the hearts of the gathering. The celebration carried a note of reverence and devotion.

Urdu and English Speech screening contests were held in the college on 13th October, 2021 in connection with Rahmatul lil Alameen Week 2021. Participants from various ICT girls colleges highlighted the Prophet's status as the supreme model of goodness, righteousness, mercy and kindness for humanity. Seminar on Seerat e Nabi 2021

A seminar on Seerat un Nabi (SAW) was held in the college auditorium on 12th October, 2021. Dr. Hafiz Sajjad graced the occasion and talked about the life and teachings of the beloved Prophet PBUH. He narrated incidents from the Prophet's life with a special focus on his kindness, respect and affection for women. He explained that Muslim women were active and valued members of society in the Prophet's times and during the golden era of Islam. Dr. Hafiz Sajjad also talked about the importance of the rights of parents in Islam and the Prophet's teachings regarding kindness towards the parents.

Tree Plantation Ceremony 2021

As part of the tree plantation drive, 16 saplings were planted in the college today. A small tree plantation ceremony was held in the college lawns. The first tree was planted by the Principal Professor Rakhshanda Manzoor. Afterwards, Vice Principal Madam Shabana Tabassum, senior staff members and HODs of various departments of the college planted saplings. Among the trees that were planted are Guava , Jamun, Apricot, Peach and orange trees.

Independence Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony 2021

On 14th August, 2021, a flag hoisting ceremony was held in the college lawn. Principal Prof. Rakhshanda Manzoor hoisted the national flag and the national anthem of Pakistan was played. Madam Aisha Madni of Islamic Studies department led the prayer for the growth and prosperity of the homeland. Afterwards, Principal Madam Rakhshanda Manzoor planted a tree to mark the auspicious occasion of the 75th Independence Day of the country. Vice Principal Madam Shabana Tabassum also planted a sapling. The Principal and Vice Principal of the college were accompanied by the HODs of all departments of the college for the tree plantation ceremony. The tree plantation ended with a short prayer by the assembly.

Independence Day Celebrations 2021

The Independence Day celebrations in IMCG (PG) F-7/2 started on 13th August, 2021 with a soul warming Quran khawani. Students and staff members recited the Holy Quran with fervour and prayed for the prosperity of the country. Afterwards, the Independence Day programme started formally in the college ground with beautiful Qirat by Qari Younus followed by a melodious naat rendered by Maryam Munaaf of BS Psychology. Ms. Samina Rahim, HOD Urdu department, recited a poem by Prof. Haidri reliving the moments when the nation tasted the sweet nectar of independence for the first time. Fareeha Awan of BS Islamiat warmed the audience into the spirit of Independence day celebrations by singing a melodious national song. Mr. Anjum Zia, Personal Assistant to the Principal, shared his views about the creation and future of Pakistan. Teachers of Psychology Department expressed their love and devotion to their motherland through the timeless national song ' Ye Watan Tumhara hai '. HOD of Pakistan Studies Department Madam Naira Qadeer shed some much needed light on the history of the freedom struggle lead by Quaid e Azam, his constitutional, non - violent movement, his phenomenal leadership qualities and the creation of Pakistan. Incharge Student Council Madam Ghazala warmed the hearts of the audience with a national song followed by the rendition of 'Sohni Dharti' by Maryam Munaaf of BS Psychology. A small quiz organised by the Pakistan Studies Department tested the audience's knowledge of the history of Pakistan. Ayesha Hijazi and others of BS Psychology presented a colourful tableau to the accompaniment of a lively national song. In the end, respected Principal Madam Rakhshanda Manzoor congratulated all on the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. The function ended with the national anthem of Pakistan.
